bhojpure is not entirely wrong. Even though the car has new engine, remaining parts of the car has basically 197000 miles. This car cannot be estimated based on its actual mileage value of 197000 or 80000. Its somewhere in between. I don't think the owner will sell for $3000 but as a buyer offering a price of $3000 is not a bad idea. With some negotiations I think $3300-$3700 would be the fair price of the car and obviously the final price would be determined after having a test drive.

I don't know why but I am just hooked to Lexus. I just test drove one 1998 Lexus ES300 with $125000 miles on it. It was really nice. I offered $3900 which is the low private party value of the car.
