I am not in student visa but i definately see the pain of studnets as i have and been living with Nepali students to save rent. Let us review the F1 structure from the very begenning. First of all, when you promise to return back on F1, that only applies till you get your visa. Once you get your visa and land here then you are free to go for H1bs, EB2, EB3, EB1, etc to stay here permantely. Even USCIS is aware of it, otherwise it would be illegal for F1 to apply for H1Bs.So please don't make it look like all students lied to get the VISA and they are obligated to return back, because they are not otherwise there would be no H1bs for US graduates F1s. Whatever you international student advisor tells you is not US laws most of the time. They just want to make sure that they get new fresh dollars (out of state ) from international students and their students don't run away from their institution so they can continue the blood sucking process in the future.

i am not complaning about America, but the American immigration system that fails to reconize the productive immigration compare to immigrants who are likely to file public welfares. I have met people in DV lottery who have failed to accomplish and left the country for good vowing never to return back. I have seen some coming and going for years, not fully being productive either in Nepal or USA. and I have seen softwares engineers and people of years of experience migrating to Canada because their hope to live in the country permanently is agonizing.

Tell me, why should a fake asylee get more chances to prosper in this country than a hard working F1 student? If they really need diversity, how about granting F1 students DV lotteries , that would serve the purpose of diversity and at the same time bring productive residents to the society.

American Immigration system will change. there are lots of politicans, good Americans and even the President to change it for good reasons. Until then F1 students' dreams will Crush.

And please kindly stop labelling me anti-American just because i think there is room for improvement in the current immigration. I love this country too :)
