Crime And Punishment In America

Pire,

I completely agree with you. In America, teacher's cannot discipline their students. Unlike Nepal, where the teacher can discipline the child, in America the teacher's cannot. The students go and complain to their parents and the parents come and complain to the school administration and make the class teacher's life a living hell. In America, parents cannot discipline their own child without fearing that their son or daughter might call '911' on them and embarrass them in front of the neighbors by crying to the cops, "My daddy and mommy hit me because I wouldn't do my homework. They are doing child abuse to me."

And since no one in America can discipline children, naturally when they grow up they end up in prison. In America ordinary people are only afraid of the cop and the prison warden. No one else can dare discipline the children. That is why America was so many prisoners.

Yes, Bhojpure, we need that American system. But not just prison system, we need that educational and parenting system too. That is the only thing left to import into Nepal from America.
