I came to the States in the Spring of 2009. So its already more then 1 year that i am here. I am in F1 status.

I know that there is a 1 year criteria to apply for it. Can anyone please help me answer some of my questions? It will be a great help for me.. 

1. Can i go to Nepal and come back this August and apply for it?

2. Do i need to change my status when/after i apply for it? Since i am in F1 status now, will i be able to remain in same status and continue my study after i apply for it?

3. What if my application gets rejected? Will i be deported or i will be left back in F1 status?

It will be very help ful for me if anybody answers these 3 questions.
