I have a source
According to the US Census 2000, 2% of the population have Professional Degrees (MD, DDS, DVM, JD etc) and 1% have research based doctoral degrees (PhD, EdD etc).
I'm talking about only PhD so it's saying that 1% has such in 2000 which mean that clearly 2.5 million has research based PhD .
btw, I am planning to do PhD in civil engineering.
yes, I dont wanna be like Babu ram bhattarai who is proclaimed as dacterssaab but does not has such wisdom that a true doctorate in philosophy should have !
