One kind advice to raju is that you take a risk in hiring a lawyer in DV case, as they usually don't handle much DV cases and do not know much about it. I paid and asked a reputable lawyer questions about DV, he told me what I could find on forums/websites easily, and he honestly told me that DV is not what he/his firm handle on a day to day basis...what a waste of money! But if you do go to a lawyer, make sure you hire a reputable one, like Murthy...consultation only is $250 and if you hire them it is $2500 plus other fees which comes around to be 3K lawyer fees only, at one point I thought of going with a lawyer too but it is not a hard process at all, not giving you any false hopes but I have seen people with numbers higher than yours get GC.
