Bro, try contacting your adviser as soon as possible and explain him the situation. Most of my college advisers have been helpful and very accommodating.

I just realized that my status was terminated as well, I found that out when I filed for post graduate OPT. In my case, ex-adviser screwed up my information in SEVIS and then left the school to work for some other school. I had my status terminated for about more than 1 year and I was never made aware of this.

Finally, current adviser has send letters to the SEVIS requesting my status be turned back to active. What saved me was I had never failed a class or had dropped it and was registered for every semester.

I suggest you talk to your adviser or college dean and explain your situation.

Using ssn had nothing to do with your current situation. They don't care about it, unless you get caught or have been caught by the USCIS officers.
