I believe if we start by helping ourselves to excel in whatever we may choose to do we will be in a better position to help others and our country. My personal opinion is that Nepal at this point is past the stage where individual level contributions  will be able to make a significant difference (thus the mass exodus of our countrymen to sell their skills (physical/intellectual) wherever they can). Nepal needs a socio-econo-political (if it is a word) upgrade.  Contributions made at a scale that can potentially leave a positive impact on the socio-economic, governmental and political fronts is definitely a scratch on the surface which Upendra Mahato probably has been able to accomplish to a certain extent ; again by virtue of him being at the top of his game .
