Are you going back to Nepal after the completion of your study?

Every person in this world wants recognition and a sense of accomplishment. Different people go about getting these things in different ways. Most people who are residing away from their home country realize that no matter what they accomplish in life, they will never be able to get as much recognition as they would in their home country. This coupled with the fact that most people want to have a greater purpose in life (a sense of satisfaction that comes with knowing that you are helping someone) makes them want to go back and do something for their country. However most people are able to convince themselves that sending money , bringing their parents to the US for graduation, helping their cousins come to the US and bringing their parents to the US at least twice every year is going to bring happiness to the people who spent all their life raising them and this fulfills the 'sense of accomplishment' part.

I like to think of the situation this way--there are people who donate millions every year so that they are recognized as charitable people, gain respect from the society and are able to feel good about themselves. Is this a bad thing? Not at all. They are way better than people like me who don't do anything for anyone and spend their time 'judging' other people's intention. More power to these people! Best of luck to anyone who is planning on returning. I ain't gonna be one of them, though because I will 'make it' in the US. I will get happiness and money in the US. I won't marry or have kids (I might adopt, though). Then right before I die, I will donate all the money I have to charities in Nepal. Let's just hope I will be able to be super rich before I die. Every one is entitled to dream, right?

Having said that, I do respect people like ashu who were able to make it in the US but chose to return to Nepal. I hope I didn't offend anyone. If I did, I am sorry
