My parents (age 58-59) are visiting USA. They have high blood sugar and leg pain (knee part) if they walk longer than 30 min. They will bring their regular medicine dose. We might not need doctor visits, however, it might be better to collect some information about visitor health
insurance.

What is the regular rate of visitor health insurance, and what do they cover? If you have first hand experience, please share with us. I appreciate if you could share the details on shortcomings, limitation, drawbacks or disadvantages.

My parents went for a complete health checkup at Teaching hospital, Nepal a few months ago. All the reports were normal except for the known issues that they use regular medicines, and the doctors advised to continue the same medicines. Would it be different if I take them to a complete checkup here in USA? My medical experience in USA is not so impressive, I mean, the techniques, tools and treatments are more or less similar to what we get in Nepal. But, if there is some benefit for elderly people, I would like to give a try.
