Although Nepal's literacy rate is about 40%, only about 10% have had made it through any form of systematic education upto highschool levels.

Hence the reality is that almost 90% of the people are not 'educated' in the sense of actually knowing or understanding the overall situation of the country. In this kind of circumstance, democracy becomes a wish fulfilling tree for the corrupt politicians to meet their own or the political groups goals. So they can get elected by public election noone can question the democratic norms. The uneducated population will vote because they are swayed by the deceiving speeches, or they are afraid of them, or they may have false hope.  But the reality is that they are practicing a democratic system and noone should questioning the results of the fair and free elections.

As they say lato deshma gado tanneri, the gado leaders are leading the general lato population and anyone who does not fit into the equation will either feel left out or will be made to fit into the equation. That is why most people in that category will leave the country not because they don't love their country because their education does not count for squat. Their education is stifled in the suffocating socio-political numbness. The result is a never ending downward spiral of more gado tanneri's creating more latos to rule over and exploit.

The handful of educated or aware citizens who choose to live in Nepal have to abide by the gado tanneris rule not because they enjoy it but because there is no other way.

So what is the solution?

As long as the country is ruled by gado tanneris, the country will head into a downward spiral.

List your solutions here.
