Mr. Hyde: I think you hit it where it matters. my exact views too. however, proving Buddha was born in Nepal and making people aware of it will help me introduce myself to all these ignorant fair-skinned ppl a little easier. It will also help Nepal get some tourism from the recently-created awareness, hopefully. although, I still doubt if there are more articles stating Nepal as buddhas birthplace, but while people look up Nepal in google, they will stumble across the real beauty of Nepal, most of 'em still far behind of today. And as Tamang said it in one of his post, Visit Nepal 2011!
Nonetheless, YOU should make your country proud, not wait or look for opportunities for the other way round.
