# For admissions purposes, a student's transfer grade point average is determined by dividing the total number of grade points earned by the number of semester hours for which a grade other than withdrawn passing is received.

* At some universities, the overall GPA that includes transfer and grades earned at the university calculates into graduation with honors.

Transfer GPA is used only for admissions requirements.
