कॉ बेकार मा ९९ डललर खर्च गरी रहने? 

The problem with the laptop started on January 2nd., when it stopped showing any signs of life, no light, no sound, no nothing. When I inserted the power cable, it would spark! I had 3 years of assignments, project work, photos and many more unnecessary things in it which I needed badly. I took the laptop to Geek Squad  at Best Buy where I bought it on January 3rd to have it checked. They went over the laptop, did some diagnostics and told me it was better to buy a new laptop as there was a problem with the motherboard. If I wanted the data, it was $99 up to 5 GB and $199 for more than 5GB. I could not afford any, neither the data back up nor a new laptop.

My brother came up with a great idea and opened the laptop himself. He took out the hard drive and we headed out to Fry's to buy a SATA Box for the hard disk that could convert the hard disk to a portable hard drive! Yes, it worked, for $7.00 I was good to go again, I could connect the hard drive to any computer and still get my data. I also made a back  up just in case something happens.

After about 2 weeks of leaving my lifeless laptop under the bed, gathering dust; i decided to give it to a friend who trades the parts of laptops on EBay and makes money. Seriously! But before I handed it over to him, I pressed the power button and guess what? THE LAPTOP WAS WORKING AGAIN!!! IT LIT ! MADE SOUNDS AND SHOWED SIGNS OF LIFE.

I immediately reinserted the hard drive in its place and powered the laptop again. YES IT WORKED, and for some unknown reason, the laptop seemed to perform faster and better!

My brother suggested me to renew the service plan if in case something happens, but... tyei ta ho ni ...nagadeshwori ...maru ..... kaso garu...? I did not renew the plan. The laptop worked fine day and night and I used for over 10-12 hours a day. One difference I noticed was that, the bottom of the laptop would heat a lot. I bought an external fan, which somewhat helped. But I still feared the stress I would be if the laptop died again.

And yes, it died last night! My laptop was on the roll yesterday from 9AM till 4PM at work and then again from 6 PM till 10 PM at home forwww.icefilms.info DVD quality free movies...... I shut the laptop to let it rest and cool down and went for a smoke break, promising myself long overdue movie The Hangover! 

Once I restarted the laptop ------- NO SIGNS OF LIFE AGAIN !!! NO POWER LIGHT ! NO FAN SOUND ! NO BATTERY LIGHT ! AND WHEN I INSERT THE POWER CABLE TO THE POWER PIN, IT SPARKS LIKE BEFORE
