I'd like to add more.

Do you remember the vandalism and torching of vehicles and property in Itahari over establishing a new stadium there, and also the same in mahendranagar over establishing a new far-western university? Last year, a powerplant somewhere had to be shut down due to the demand of population in that area for having continuous power for 24 hours. And the village uptown cut off their telephone lines. The worst we can do to fuel these is by creating more division be it in the name of castes or regions. We need to unite Nepal, not divide it.

When the federal government tries to establish anything (be it a university, stadium or any other structures), what is the guarantee that all other states in the current situation won't oppose that and demand to have it in their respective states?

Municipalities some years ago made the policy of tax ("chungi kar") system. When we'll have state system and if every state have their own tax for any trucks going to Kathmandu, won't the prices skyrocket?

In the country like ours with the most corrupted politicians in the world, and the sheep herd following mentality, we'll see more destruction than any other new construction similar to what we got from bloody maoists. Bloody maoists brought our country to downhill; the only good thing they did is to bring secularism and riddance of monarchy.

First of all, there's never going to be a consensus on the number of states and demarcation lines of states. If we followed with 14 states as they proposed, what is the guarantee that the fractions won't start another bloody war and demand for their own share for tiny states?
