A top leader of India's Hindu fundamentalist group has said that China
is attempting to increase its influence in Nepal through the help of
UnifiedCPN (Maoist) and India should foil the plan through a firm
strategy.

Chief of Rastriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) Mohan
Bhagwat on Sunday saidthat Beijing was trying to tighten its hold on
Nepal which India must counter through "a firm diplomatic strategy".

Addressing
a program in Lucknow of India's Uttar Pradesh State, he advocated a
well-thought foreign policy to increase India's influence on the
neighboring countries and the region.

RSS is a semi-militant
group aligned with Vishwa Hindu Parishad, the parent party of India's
main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party. N
