Remember gold standard evaporated long time ago and gold is just a mere yellow piece of brick.. it will not bear any value to a consumer unless it is made into jewelry .....be practical why the fouq would you buy some metals stored in switzerland or uk.... and etf is not a good way to go for new investors.......talk about brokerage fees, low volume and settlement issues and liquidity can always put small investors like nepalese at high risk......... also talk about the money that is being pumped in the economy....for stabilizing it......once that is done aren't we gonna have a bubble......
i don't give a big f about graham.... and his principles..... but you are trying to explain me SDPR is not a company...........ok agree..... but a valued and experienced investor like you, don't you have to use a little common sense that either gold can be traded in the form of bullion, gold coins or ETF ?
so I would call you a rookie investor from now on ......
and the what is gold price inflation ???? dude seriously you didn't follow much about graham and his principles..... as a investor you should be aware that investing in gold will protect you against inflation ?? isn't that right ??

if buffet had invested after reading graham he won't be the buffet we know now..... he was merely lucky....... he invested heavily on railroad stocks which were a hit ..... and berkshire Hathaway .... and 100% luck............
a good investor will never follow the market trends , they will have a investing discipline.... you bought gold because you feared the market..... had you know better you would have capitalized on the downfall......
so take my advice ........ stop watching jim cramer and fox news ...........
