The day Joshi cheated that guy out of his winning ticket, Pankaj pretty much f'ked himself. He thought he was safe in Nepal until his name appeared in the media for an international manhunt. His ignorance was a bliss for him before he had to start hiding as a fugitive even from the eyes of his own acquaintances. He has brought shame to his family too assuming he is from a respectable family of his locality.
He should have realized the gravity of the consequences of what he was doing for they say,
"Do the crime,
if you can do the time".
