Hi all, thank you for expressing your opinions with due respect to individual thoughts and ideas without indulging in any personal attacks.

As far as my response was concerned it was directed towards the request to "delete all threads related to Namrata", which is not going to do anything at this point since it is already out in mainstream media. It may seem like a symbolic activity to do something like that, but the fact of the matter is that the damage has been done and nothing is going to undo what has already happened. For us to even extend this thread requesting it to be deleted is in fact counter intuitive as it prolongs the thread. I think it is better to start a new thread for issues like this so that the issue in question does not get the undue attention as intended by few concerned members.

I do agree that this thread can be filtered out as rumor mongering and presenting falsified info, but when you look at it closely it is simply a question posed by ssigdel - which, as someone pointed above could have been resolved by a simple NO - instead of prolonging this thread.

In my opinion, the damage to Namrata has already been done outside of sajha with the release of that video and subsequent news coverage in the media. What goes on inside Namrata's mind is not for us to assume, but we can wish her well and wish her all the best. We cannot stop society from making their individual judgments. We cannot be the moral police and try to act as if nothing has happened by wiping the forums clean of this issue.

Even the democratic process of sajha whereby 20 thumbs down deactivates a post has not been reached for any of the postings in this thread. Are we supposed to base democracy on a handful of people with the loudest voices? Or do we let the democratic process run it's course? This is a very important thing we need to think about. This in no way undermines the requests made by people here - but I simply want to point to the democratic process of saying no to a thread rather than making demands to do it just because a handful of people think so! It makes sense to delete this thread without any further ado if it receives 20 thumbs down - out of 10,000 visitors who visit this site daily and out of 35,000 registered users, I think 20 is a very liberal number required to vote a thread off sajha. So please cast your votes if you feel strongly against this thread.

Lastly I wanted to point out to Meet misfit that I write here under my personal name and my personal info is available to everyone; and I appreciate your forthrighness when you say "SAN's argument remains valid but I'm sure he also understands that the people who hide themselves in digital anonymity .."
Your point is especially true when under digital anonymity a person can be harshly judgmental about someone without having a shadow of responsibility and credibility as far as their own identity.
