1. First and foremost, a demonstration staged at the PM's visit is a way to get a powerful message across that these students want REAL CHANGE in Nepal, and that they're committed to democratic ways of going about it

--- Why demonstrate ? Makune ko issue is our internal issue.  Makune is here not only as our head of state but he is also acting as a leading figure in the voice of underdeveloped countries. Developed countries have shown special concern for mother and child mortality rate in nepal where one children dies in every 20 minutes. They want to make health free in those cases. Everybody from maoist to congress will benifit with this. Do you think this is really right time to protest?? Has his tour of US been a faliure?

Every year one foreingh neta  gets chance to address in columbia university. They have given chance to Nepal.

2. In a democracy, even the Maoists have the right to demonstrate, so long as they are peaceful and do not infringe upon the rights of others!

--  Slightly disagree, When the demonstration is about getting into Kursi then it is not democracy.  And you know what........I went to gurkha demonstration last year in England.  You can't just go and demonstrate.  For demonstration in Downing street where British PM lives, you have to book an appointment. You are granted certain amount of time and place to demonstrate. You go there with media at that time and demonstrate. And your voice will be addressed.  THATS DEMOCRACY.   Every ethinic group, political groups etc have problems. Not everybody goes up with black flags and ruin the event.

Mind you if you go with black flag in UN event it will mar the event. It is very special event mainly for underdeveloped country. Don't ruin it with your internal issues.

5. Some have also raised the issue of Prachanda receiving a red carpet
last year in NY, and asking why the contrary when it comes to MKN. The
difference between then and now is that, at the time, subtract a few,
almost everyone had genuine sense of HOPE and CHANGE -- for better or
for worse, and Prachanda was a symbol of such. He's turned out to be a
disappointment also, and I would have given him the same cold shoulder
that I am prepared to give to MKN had he been in the latter's shoes
this week as well.

--- Why is that you had hope with Prachanda who is the reason behind killing of thousands and thousands of innocent lives against a person who has not done something remotely this bad. And why can't you Hope with Makune. Your so called legitimate prachanda behested and  brought Makune in parliament. Makune has been accepted by 360 members who won in the election and who represents people.

If we accept those 360 members ousting KING  (people never gave vote or referrendum to out king).....then why don't we accept those members bringing makune. If girija was PM will have been acceptable to you right? Because girija could easily have been memeber by coming through back door of so called     SAMANUPATIK .    Makune could have easily not go to election and became a member by SAMANUPATIK.   It is like Sneaking through back door.

Taking about SAMANTI PRATHA.  who is more samanti?  Maoist are more samanti as the latest figure shows they still caputre 30,000 lands and houses.  Many of those people whose house have been looted are very poor. Last  year some of these poor people who were protesting and living in a very poor condition near bagmati died of cold. They didn't have any clothes.

See the wider picture.  Makune is a new PM and so far his performance has not been so bad. We should give him a time. After all if you remove makune anohter person from UML or congress will become PM. So whats your point.
