Hey Folks

Currently I am working in an university as a programmer, I am in
OPT (OPT card expires on  end of dec 09),
though I am eligible for OPT extension (STEM major), my HR department  informed me that they can’t extend OPT because
they are not registered  in e-verify
program. They are willing to file H1B but I am concerned that that duration H1B
approval. It seems H1B approval takes up to 6 months and my card valid till Dec.
I am worried if H1B is not approved before dec then I am gone lose my job. So
I need some suggestion, what to do?

Has anyone experienced something similer ???
