I guess the Hindi speaking population residing in Nepal are looking for a representative who will stand by them.

If he resigns, he's going to win their favor, and might as well segregate from the entire country?

Just let him take the vow and MOVE ON with it! :) If he takes the vow, we still have one unified country, if he doesnt, we get divided, and our madeshi half (originally our brothers) now hate us.

Two sides are struggling and this poor guy is smack in the middle of them. On one side, the madhesis looking for someone strong are trying to force him NOT to take the oath in Nepali (cuz I guess they have their reasons for that as well) and the Supreme Court (aka the govt.) is forcing him to take oath in Nepali because if he doesnt, then its a win for the Madhesis and the people in power dont want to make more room for newcomers.

My personal opinion, but I think the problem is with these "people in power". A bunch of them about 20 who know what is going on, but dont want to acknowledge it because if they DO, then they will HAVE to do something about it.

I'm just curious, so WHO are the top power wielders in our country (maybe I should open a new thread for this)? The decision makers. The guys who take the decisions for the ENTIRE nation.

Think this is substantial matter for a debate? :)
