Hi y'all! Here is my rant....

Well i have not attended any ANA's though heard and read an abundance
of bad reviews from actual goers, especially from last years
'extravaganza,' and thought well maybe people are being a bit too harsh
perhaps..(though its understandable u want value for your hard earned
cash) Then i saw actual video footages of last years Fashion Show and
thought WTF....why would anyone want to pay that amount to watch
untrained so called models prancing about on stage fashioning clothes
that hardly represented Nepali clothes or culture. The theme was 'A
Week In A Nepali's Life'.....well I think ppl do not want to see (and
pay for) what they themselves wear in a week! It's something they want
to get away from and not think about! No wonder people are pissed
(understatement)

Plus i did not like some of the music choice during the Fashion Show
either...it wasn't runway show music (don't get me wrong, i like to
relax quietly in my room listening to Parelima...) nothing to pump the
crowd up with..there are many Nepali tunes with some beats and jingles
and jangles.

They all must be deluded and up their own asses to think they did a
good an overall job...they themselves are too busy patting themselves
on each others backs and in each others backsides to notice the crowd
did not like it. A good organiser should open their eyes and try get as
much feedback as possible, however critical it may be and use that
information to improve for the next show. End of the day, these are
large scale shows and there should be constant improvement each time,
being aware and obtaining constructive criticism.

I have participated in many cultural shows including fashion shows
representing true Nepali culture and music 100%, completely free of
charge, so i guess i would say i have some kind of standing to put my
thoughts on here.

Conclusion: To save some ANA grace, they should get a seasoned organiser who can understand what people like to see to enjoy themselves and feel proud of their heritage, where they're from and deliver it with more elegance and class whilst representing our rich diverse culture at its best!!

Ok, that's my two cents and if i offended anybody somehow then do excuse me, this is what i think.

Cheerio!
