A  case of swine flu has been found in one of the Nepali student in Baltimore, the provincial Health Ministry said Monday — but like the other 10 cases found so far in US, the symptoms are being described as mild.

The case was discovered when Roshan Sapkota Admitted to Good Samaritan Hospital Sunday morning when he had a severe fever, according to the Health Ministry's website.

“   His treatment and case will be handled by the Johns Hospital Medical research center in Maryland,” says the chief Executive Adam Perozoni Jr. of the center. This case is the first found in Baltimore according to the health Ministry.

No information about the travel history of the new cases was provided. The Health department is conducting a survey among other Nepali students and their apatments who might have infected by this flu. “The health department is aware that other people who made contact with him might have the same infection.” Health department Chief Dr. Michael Blanning added.

In this case of swine flu, the infected guy has experienced only mild symptoms, the province says.

More than 300 people across Canada have become ill with swine flu since last month. One person in Alberta who tested positive for swine flu and who had a pre-existing medical condition has died.

The provincial government is advising people to observe appropriate infection control procedures, including frequent hand-washing and use of hand sanitizer.
