i agree with some of the above comment.. most of the comments here are from aboard guys. And most make little sense.

first talk to people in nepal about this issue. if u talk to them about how much u miss Nepal, nepalipan, how the love towards nepal has grown as u became distant from it..  ..find what there response is. i think they are better off making comments here, than we... 

we stay aboard, enjoy >50-100% of foreign culture, food and music.  and are v immune to any criticism as to why we do this .. right ?

but when some one from nepal dances in hindi tunes, we have a major problem. .. If they are happy that way , who are we to criticize., why are we bothered. how can a meagre dance make a impact on the culture?

Well I also didn’t like the cultural program shown at new years day (what ever i saw in utube). But I wouldnt go slamming everyone who performed poorly or improperly.

I am sure that most of us here, have never ever watched any nepali movies or bought nepali song CD/VCDs. but I am sure everyone has watched hindi or English instead.  so is it not time to say ' arka ko aang ma bhaisi dekhne, afno ma jumra nadekhne' .
