She fled the scene
because Nepali are bheda. People would have probably beaten her to
death and vandalised the vehicle. Thats how nepali are. She probably
have lived in Nepal long enough to know that it is better to flee than
risk your own life. I have seen a guy beaten badly by local people in similar case and he would have beed dead have police not came on time.
Nepali is not like US or any other
country. In nepal if you hit somebody by car than you have committed a
crime in the eyes of public. And they will beat you which is wrong.
Accident can happen to anybody. Killing somebody in an accident is not
a crime as long as the driver is sane , not drunk and driving
carefully. Accident happens. Nepali must learn this fact.
Having
said that US embassay is still fully capable of providing medicle
treatment and some funding for the future. Common sense should prevail.
