It is great to know that you are considering public health for your higher degree. I am also in the same field- and working now.

From my experience, if you want quick return then Biostat is best- you can get a job right after MS. However, if you like epidemiology, then be prepared to go for PhD- with just MS or MPH, the job market is very tough.

School wise, I went to Pitt, which is relatively expensive- dont know much about other univs.
