Common dude, don't act like a mahatma here. There are over 12 million illegal immigrants in the US and I am assuming at least half of them are working. There is no question about reputation here. And like Teena said, 99% of Nepalese students (you probably fall in that 1%) work illegally, in cash or social security. You probably came here for a Masters Degree, got a GA/RA job, paid in-state tuition and didnt have to go through all that. Or, you won a DV lotterey. Or, your parents are filthy rich in Nepal and can support you. Now you tell me, how many people fall in that category. Probably 1%. What do the rest of 99% people do?
Its easy to come here and lecture about reputation but it is very difficult for vast majority to follow what you did.
Someone created a thread and asked for some suggestions. If you have any, please do so...otherwise, don't show typical nepali mentality and say "Khuchhing".
