I agree with u that every thing should be merit-based. But that is not the case in Nepal at all. There has always been favoritism and nepotism in Nepal be it in Panchayat, some 15 years of Pariliamentary system or now. I don't think any one disagrees that we are mainly Nepalese and should work hand in hand with each other. But the state power had not treated all the people equally for so many years. U can't deny that. As for the issues of indigenous people (janajati) and others, it is not the propaganda of Maoists alone.They might have used us for their political gain, but Janajati people were well aware of their right way before 1996, when the maoist People's War started. As far as I know, Janajati people only want their lost rights, not the supremacy over other people.
