Chyame Kanchha,
I do not disagree with u on a lot of things this time. Yes, a lot of leaders are using innocent people's sentiment to fulfill their selfishness. I also heard about what Prachanda said to Kirtipur people to get the votes. I bet Girija, Madhav Nepal, Surya Bahadur Thapa et al did the same thing at one point or another. I am not trying to justify what they said. Just like u, I am dead against them all on that. However, indigenous people, dalit, and women still do suffer a great deal in Nepal. I don't think u can deny that. Empowering the oppressed people is not same as suppressing the rest of the people in Nepal. As u r from Pokhara, don't u like it now that u can listen to news in Gurung language? I know u could understand news in Nepali and English, but maybe ur grandparents can now understand the news as well. I hope u believe that is not gonna divide Pokhara into different states, is it? Wouldn't u also like it if they had Gurung staff in government offices where even the illiterate grandpas and grandmas could go and get their things done without the help of their sons, daughters etc? Ditto in Kathmandu for Newar people. Maile testo kisimko jatiya mukti ko kuro gareko. MJF jasto kuraako maile support gareko chhaina. It is true a lot of Terai people have been suffering, but MJF looks like the puppet of India to me. I can easily relate to how the staff at TIA treat u when u go back to Nepal just because of ur looks and ethnicity. How about the times when u went to government offices in Pokhara? Weren't those guys trying to get money from u to expedite your work? Did they not think u had tons of money? I felt like bombing the whole office when they tried to rip me off back then. Ur going to UK, my going to US is not gonna change the way they treat us in Nepal, brother. What say you?
