dude, dont get confused here. nepalese history has been written as to glorify monarchy and so called high class ruling people closer to them only. it has faild to mention the contribution and commitment of others who played more vital roles in those historical war  n events. magars played major role in unification, genuine khas army of prithvi narayan shah could not even win over nuwakot. gorkha itself is magar people's traditional place, ie, they r the natives. it was magar commander who influnced some of the limbu commander of east to merge with modern nepal citing thier ancestors to b same n worthless to shed the bloods of own brothers. junga bahadur used  many kirati force to invade tibet surely with his own rana borthers as commander. they hav seperate traditional  paltaans for magar n grg in nepal army which were formed prior to its modern formation, like purano gorakh paltaan, later establishing kiratis plataan as well. theres still a kirati temple in hattiban built by jungabahdur for his kirati armies. east india company didnt just take some selcted races randomly in thier army, hudosn did extensive research on the martial races of himalaya, which till now traditionally fulfills most of the ranks in all regiments of gurkhas serving in UK, india, singapore and brunie. saying that we dont only serve for foreign nation, theres differnt factor to that, we hav equally contributed n hav served our nation in times. most of the junmukti army of congress while fighting against ranas were gurkhas who had immense jungle n guirella warfare expereince from WWII, but only those koirala brothers n some handful netas names come up in history book. damnn saaad...
