Now its Kantipur’s turn, threatens a YCL leader
In the wake of attack by pro-Maoist workers on Himalmedia, a leader of the Maoist-affiliated Young Communist League (YCL) has threatened that it is now the turn of Kantipur.
According to the report in Kantipur daily, Bhaktapur district president of YCL Deepshika has warned that they will now target Kantipur for opposing the Maoists in big headlines.
“The hooliganism of Kantipur is increasing,†he said. “Just because it is media, it cannot write whatever it likes.â€
In Biratnagar, pro-Maoist workers staged a sit-in in front of regional office of Kantipur by forwarding 12-point demands. They demanded pay rise, among others.
Meanwhile, the APCA publication, which brings out The Himalayan Times and Annapurna Post, has said that pro-Maoist workers manhandled some of its staffers on Monday. They manhandled the staffers and forcefully installed their board in reception area.
