Dear Sajha friends,
Thank you for this thread, for your emails and for your support.
Thanks, too, to Arnico, for visiting the Himal office yesterday -- hours after learning about the attack.
I am fine now - primarily because other colleagues shielded me, protected me and put themselves in harm's way to take the shots and the punches aimed at me by unknown assailants in the Himalmedia meeting room, where a weekly corporate meeting was in progress when the attackers stormed in.
My deepest thanks and gratitude to my colleagues who, on their own and acting quickly, did their best to resist the attacks of about 50 goons.
A blow-by-blow account of the attack can be found here:

Tomorrow, Tuesday, there will be NO editorial in any of the Nepali newspapers.

Meantime, to borrow the words of Winston Churchill, we will "keep buggering on" against violence, attacks and a culture of impunity.
