well, i think that its the most common problem with the roommate here in US.. well, its sad that u guys are best frens.. i can understand how u r going through.. well, guess what u do not need to do much and let your roommate do what ever he wants if he dosen't listens you.. all you need to do is buy Maxell Noise-Cancellation Headphones,, which comes starting from $20 onwards if noise is the only problem.. you can read and sleep keeping in on.. its good i had tried as well.. but if he is real wild after he is drunk then u need to move out for sure.. u can even search for the roommates wanted in craigslist.. there stds are looking for another stds as a roommate so that u do not need to worry about buying loads of stuffs for new apt.. i hope it helps.. cheers
