Pire,

Thank you for your note.

Outsmarting the radicals is ONLY a temporary move.

We are already being pressured -- in a rather out-of-the-law-fashion by certain (Maoist-led) Ministries to re-instate the two ex-staff members. We'll have to see how this extra-legal force plays out in days ahead.

I would rather that the two ex-staff went to court, and fought it out there, whatever the outcome might be.

But no, the pressure to this private company now comes from the Ministries to do this and that as per the Ministris' dictates and NOT as per the law. Such are these things in Nepal these days.

Iso Freak,

If you are around, give me a call or send me an email, and we'll chat. I try NOT to be disturbed too much about what's going on in Nepal. Life moves on; all bad things come to pass, and so too shall this bad series of radical Union-related happenings.

CEO & PresidentofNepal,

Many thanks for your comments.

Vname,

Thank you for your comments. As you can understand, it's not appropriate for me to publicly comment on an individual editor's past or present political views (regardless of whether I agree or disagree with those views).

But as someone who's completed a little more than a year on this job, I think that when the company is under attack, like it is now, all within the company must be united to put forth a response that is truthful, legally defensible and in the best interest of the company's long-term goals. In this regard, I am happy to report that all the editorial team members' support to the management has been important, crucial and total.

Thank you all for your comments, and words of support.
