Govt to remove royal statues from capital city

"Speaking at Ratnapark, Kathmandu Saturday while laying foundation stone for construction of the statue of Sankhadhar Sakhwa, who founded Nepal Sambat, Gautam said the replacement would be done following consensus with political parties. Who after Sankhadhar Sakhwa? Politicians. actors, businessmen? May be the government will erect statues of Prachanda, Baburam, Badal, Gririja, Madhav Nepal, BAMDEV etc...... government needs to set its priorities. I believe setting draft of constitution was its objective but now it seems constitution is the last thing in its to do list. He said the statues of former kings and other royals would be kept in museum for preservation." Yeah keep them in the museum so we all will soon forget about them. How many of us visit museum (other than in secondary school) to learn about history. We can not overlook Shah Kings' contribution to build modern Nepal.
