i guess if they plan to be mean with u then u can also challenge them,

if you have been in h1b since a year and have not been paid, then u can go to court if they

threaten to cancel your h1b. and as far as i know at least u should be provided the rights

of transfer to another company (h1b transfer). there is a recent post in sajha about a consultancy

sued in VA over the pay dispute. So i would suggest you to consult a lawyer in this regards.
