I don't think the Maoist movement that basically targetted our more-or-less democratic system in Nepal can be compared with the freedom movements in India or America, in terms of overall goal, methods adopted and the final outcome. Moreover whatever changes we had in the last couple of years cannot be attributed solely to the Maoist movement, and a large section of the population still believes that this war was not at all necessary in the first place.

Providing some kind of support or training to those who have been left skillless because of the war may not be objectionable, but this "Academic degrees for those involved in armed conflict" is a complete nonsense.
