Nothing can compare to this man's adventure.Unlike Hippies hitchhiking across the globe as a form of entertainment labeling themselves as "adventurer", Richard Proenneke lived in remote Alaskan wilderness all by himself for 35 years deep in the wood. He was 50 (that's old )when he walked away from the modern civilization. Being a skilled carpenter, he survived frigid winter with skills that you would never think of. Most importantly,he documented everything of his life on film that were donated to him. There are even books available now and the clips of his film are often shown at PBS. No Hollywood shit. Pure adventure captured on the guy himself.
