

Govt provides Rs 15.5 million as relief for flood victims in western Nepal
The deputy prime minister and Home Minister Bamdev Gautam has said that the relief works are underway to help the victims of flood in mid and far west region of Nepal.
"The government has mobilised local and central level efforts for relief and rescue in the region," DPM Gautam said while speaking at the Constituent Assembly (CA) on Tuesday morning.
He said that the government has decided to allocate Rs 15.5 million to carry out the relief operations to help 'hundreds of thousands of affected people.'
Around 50 persons have died while tens of thousands have been displaced due to floods in districts including Kailali, Kanchanpur, Achham, Dadeldhura, Gulmi, and Doti. nepalnews.com sd Sep 23 08
