I am in fact more interested in that free internet deal Google is working on. Not sure if these corporate giants will ever let that dream materialize.
Just wanted to comment on this the way i think it is. Content Providers like Google, Microsoft would strongly favor for a free internet or "net neutrality". If they say it shouldnt be free, they'd have to pay more for the bandwidth share they have prominently on internet today.
Service Providers on the other hand, would want to classify on traffic type for QOS. May be charge more for bandwidth extensive video/audio and increase the performance and throughput from the pipe. They'd want to "control" the performance of the pipe.
Content Provider vs Service Providers. Vint Cerf vs Bob Kahn. FCC and Comcast , i agree nothing's as interesting as following these.
