keeping the controversy of the slapping saga and the havoc created thereby aside for a while...
it's just feels so pathetic to see that these so called "reality" or game shows have been one of the cheesiest money-making business for people these days ( especially in south asia).
gone are the days, people got to see  quality programs- documentaries or series on tv. damn....having witnessed what i would say the golden era of tv, that produced some of the finest shows--  pakistani tele-series, mythological series (ramayan/mahabharat/chaanakya..so on), quiz shows and all... heck even the zee horror show for that matter (at least few episodes did send chill in our spines as a kid, no?)

and look where they've come after a decade or so...a perfect instance of "reverse progression". meanest show on TV re...my foot!  they do anythign...i repeat any freaking thing to collect TRP for their shows..and worst of all..People watch them....how stupid can they get than that?..shame shame...

coming back to the controversy:
while i tend to feel sorry for the contestant who's beaten like a sack of rotten tomatoes hahaha...i must say i am quite amazed that he didn't think even for a microsecond to slap the bi**tch back.....bi**tch she might be alright..but looking at the format of the show and its quality (whose metric is measured by being as meanest as possible), i would have felt more sorry for the guy if he had thought for a fraction of a second more before slapping the b**ich back or better yet, given the benefit of the doubt and reacted in a civil manner. somebody hits you doesn't mean you have to hit back in the exact same manner. there are other ways which are more civil and which can potentially hit back harder
