Indefinite curfew clamped in Lamjung

Protesting against the members of the local youth clubs for thrashing YCL district secretary Rishi Ram Marattha, the cadres staged demonstrations carrying lethal weapons this morning.
According to the district administration, indefinite curfew has been clamped since 11.55am today to prevent untoward incident.
The youth clubs has closed down the district headquarters on Wednesday protesting against the YCL men for beating up their members. However, the YCL activists were going about to reopen Besisahar.
The YCL cadres thrashed two local youths. Triveni Youth club member Basu Baral and Marsyandi Youth club member Sarad Baral have been injured in the thrashing and are undergoing treatment in the capital.
The YCL had attacked Basu with an iron rod and fire woods at around 7 this morning at High School Chowk, while Sarad was attacked at Sherabazar in Besisahar.
Some 85 police officers from Manakamana battalion of Tanahun district and 35 police officers from Pokhara have been deployed in the area for security.
The tension between the two parties had grown following a dispute over the tender.
