Your story is really nice and i am so glad you chose to write it in 'sajha'. My father had a very similar story like yours (till now at least) as he spent more than 12 years in Delhi working (not as a guard but as driver, i think) but later on he chose to return to Nepal and invest in business and it worked.

But whenever i go to Delhi, i try  to visit some of his old friends who are still working as chaukidars in different locations and spend time with them and hear their stories. their struggles in life, their half -hindi- half Nepali bhasa..
