If I may...

LD is probably taking GRE in a very near future. I have been through that phase. You can't help but use those "high sounding" words. Over time, he'll come back to normalcy! [My sincere advice to you brother: Swallow the dictionary till GRE. Avoid it in your personal statement] :)

As for Xaverian's attitude, its all a matter of perception. Like every other school, some do well, some don't. Would you all stop beating the dead horse?

However, I would like to clear one misconception that Xavier's doesn't emphasize in Nepali. In my own experience, except in Grade 8, we always had better nepali teachers and students with better Nepali than in English. That is certainly surprising, perhaps even to fellow Xavs of this generation!

As for Ivy League assessment, I could use the same logic of its not a big deal of going to xavier's ;). But then I know plenty from Xavs that are in there, at this very moment, not that it means anything based on your logistics !:)

And Yes,
While there is no absolute transparency in admission process, I'd have to say it is by far the fairest means of getting to a good affordable school for all people. In my class, 75-80% were of middle class family (as in those that owned two wheeler as opposed to four wheelers) :). Whether you want to go to a good, affordable school or keep slandering it is your choice :). Suit yourself.

As for Xavier's College, it only stands as an epitome  because of all the best students from the country not because its a good college. As of now, it is prolly a institution run on "Bihari Principles"

Live For God, Lead For Nepal.
(Oh yes! I do have a xaverian spirit i.e. I am proud of my school, as anyone would be proud of theirs. Simple init?)
