Aurelio never was trash and never will be trash. He might not be a world class player but he is a good hardworking player. No team in the world has world class players in every department. Even during the galactico era of Real Madird, they didn't have a good defensive unit and paid the price despite playing the most beautiful game of football every played by any team. Its the team work and effort put in that decides who wins.

Aurelio can cross good balls. Since you don't have a out and out left sided midfielder, you'll need somebody to put in crosses. That's where Aurelio comes in. Babel likes (and needs) to cut inside to use his right foot, so you need someone like Aurelio to overlap him. Riise was a brilliant player. But some players do need a change after a while. He started his carreer brilliantly with Liverpool but slowly started getting mundane. Best of luck for him with his new team.

The way I see Liverpool, you guys need at least one (or two at max) good player to play on the wide side and you have a team set to challenge any team in the world. If Rafa rotates the players in his 4-5-1 and not the tactic itself, I can see you guys finishing really close to the top spot, if not the top spot itself.

I am not so convinced about Aguero. He is young and talented but he hasn't proven himself yet. And Atletico will want a hell lot of money. He look really good for the technical game of Spain (or the tactical game of Italy) but not for the physical game of England.

Simao Sabrosa is overhyped by the Portuguese. He couldn't make any impact whatsoever during his time at Barca and moved back to his home country. Even with the brilliant players all around him at Atletico, he couldn't do much. He is good enough for decent teams, not but a big team. I'd take Benayoun for cheap any given day than Simao for a lot of money (he will be expensive for sure) and then see him not do any better than Benayoun.
