It depends if you are a Business major or Science major. Usually business people try to make their resume(that is why they call it resume) short because there are lots of applicants whereas Scientists have it(that is why they call it curriculum vitae) in more detail cause there are less applicants for the position. I think you do not have to have a reference page cause if they are really interested they will contact you first. Also, you can write references available upon request.
