I don't know what kind of an immature discussion is this....after having come so far in life. It is not about St. Xavier's, St. Mary's. Rato Bangala, etc.....it is about the state of the education system in our country, which can lead to a whole new discourse than picking at each other like this.

It's a pity that education is not accessible to one and all in our country. when there are only few good schools, it's quite apparent that only few get into those schools. And whether or not you went to those schools doesn't make you greater or lesser than anyone. We learn and grow with time, school is just a part of it. And yes, you learn to live your life beyond bookish knowledge in schools like SMS and STX, that is what I learnt. I don't remember my textbooks, I just remember the values that I am inculcated with, and I know that I derive my strength as a woman from "that" education I received. Every time I fall in life, I have learnt to stand up and walk again because my school has given that strength to me. More than textbooks, values were stressed upon. In fact when we took the SLC exam we are told, we are not here to produce board toppers, we are here to produce women who contribute to their homes, their families and ultimately the nation. That's what education is.

And I believe everyone knows St. Xavier's and Mary's are the cheapest schools to date in Nepal. I studied with every strata of nepali society in my school.....and we never felt like we were different. As for schools like rato bangala.....they are providing good education, I believe its one of the best schools in kathmandu, where you are taught to be a nepali first. Anything good costs money, they don't have funds like the missionary schools. So, it makes sense...and RBS is not as expensive as the british school and lincoln.....which is exclusively for the rich kids.

So, I don't know why people are making such a big fuss about it. Please grow out of your inferiority complex people. And get into a healthier discussion.
