I think by responding to petty comments, you-the originator of this thread-are adding fuel to fire and what happens when you add fuel to a burning fire.......we all know.

You've made your point by clarifying and posting your grades, there's really not any necessity to do anything else, in my opinion. Remember, you can't please everyone or respond to every one's comment and prove yourself, or you'll be a fool to even think you could do so--no offense on this. So, just ignore and relax!
