Prachanda is Nepal's version of Polpot and easily the biggest mass murderer in its history having butchered in excess of 14000 innocent people. Instead of sending this man to gallows, he has been rewarded copiously by elevating him to a hero's status and venerating him as if he were a Mahatma Gandhi or Nelson Mandela. The king on the other hand who tried to quash the maoists murderous ways has been punished and is being treated like an outcast having to face unfair, completely unwarrented, and malicious criticism from all quarters. What is even more bizzare is the fact that the so called "civil society" keeps hounding the ex-king despite the fact that the institution of monarchy has been abolished and is being made to feel like a criminal when they could be devoting their energy to more pressing problems that need urget attention and have direct relevance to the day to day lives of the people. I say, "lay off". Leave the ex-king alone, cowards. The reason why you guys are still after the ex-king is because you know that there is no risk in it and that you can get away with it. Try being very vocal against the maoists atrocities if you have the guts, you know it is not an enterpise worth taking the risk.
